TEHRAN -- Majlis deputy Ali-Akbar Mohtashamipour of Tehran condemned the Zionist regime's atrocities and said that today Palestine is another Karbala, since at Karbala supporters of Yazid cut the throats of the old and young, children and women, now the same is happening in Palestine.

He said that 120 Palestinians have been slaughtered and more than 340 wounded in Palestine in the past 10 days.

He pointed out that the criminal and terrorist Sharon, backed by the Zionist aggressor army, is massacring thousands of Palestinians in order to take revenge on them.

In conclusion, Mohtashamipour reminded people of the message of Imam Hussein (AS), who said if you do not believe in religion and God and do not fear the resurrection day, at least support freedom and justice in your earthly lives.

He called on the world to stop the Zionist and U.S. atrocities taking place in Palestine today because tomorrow would be too late.

Majlis Accepts 19, Rejects 5 GC Objections to Next Year's Budget Bill

TEHRAN -- Majlis deputies on Tuesday made 19 modifications of the budget bill in line with objections of the Guardian Council (GC), but refused to make five other changes suggested by the GC, so the case of those changes will be referred to the Expediency Council.

Majlis Energy Commission Reviews Problems of Caspian Sea Oil and Gas Fields

TEHRAN -- In a meeting with oil and gas experts from the Oil Ministry and the Foreign Ministry, members of the Majlis Energy Commission examined problems of Caspian Sea oil and gas fields and related issues.

According to the chairman of the Majlis Energy Commission, the Foreign Ministry experts offered some explanations in this respect.

The Oil Ministry experts pointed out that the ministry has carried out a number of oil exploration projects in the Caspian Sea.

One MP stated that the Oil Ministry has not been allocated sufficient funds to develop these fields and expressed the commission's readiness to solve the ministry's financial problems.

He also declared that Iran's share of Caspian Sea oil reserves is 33 billion barrels.

He said that if the five Caspian Sea littoral states do not agree to joint ownership of the reserves, Iran would insist on its 20-percent share of the reserves.
